Television host and actor Luis Manzano aired out his side against the netizens’ statements who called him out over the alleged overpriced face masks he sold amid the Taal Volcano eruption.
On Wednesday, he clarified the allegations thrown on him by countering that there’s something beyond what was posted on social media.

“With everything that has been said and done, do what you want to do. Gusto mo tumulong and post? Great job, gusto mo tumulong behind the scenes? Great job pa rin. But never invalidate help or someone just because it is not posted online,” he said.
Hi Faith! Like what i said, hindi lahat ng bagay kelangan makita o i post on social media. Ang ibang tao kase ang basis nila ng “legit” o validation pagnakapost. Sabi ko nga, i post mo tulong mo – good! Ayaw mo post – good pa rin 🙂 https://t.co/oHGqndXlJ2

Ang tatanggapin lang ng iba ay pagnakapost, ayaw nila ma comprehend na mas marami nangyayari sa likod ng social media 🙂 binabase nila ang validation on social media which i think is wrong. Bawat hinga’t utot at galaw naka post dapat and i don’t agree with that 🙂 https://t.co/oHGqndXlJ2

Meanwhile, a netizen defended the actor that these were not the regular N95 masks sold at stores after accusations were given to the actor by other Twitter users.
Those are N95 Cambridge Masks though. It’s not your basic N95 white disposable masks. Even Amazon,Shopee, and Lazada sells them for almost the same price around P600-700. pic.twitter.com/Kd9JMefR2t

Earlier, Manzano clarified that he did not take advantage of the calamity for the cost of the masks.

These were our suppliers prices 15 weeks ago, as well as global prices, so did we hoard ba? Nope! Nagtaas presyo ba? Nope! 🙂 did we take advantage of the situation? Nope! Nag iisip ka ba? Nope! 🙂 https://t.co/P09ZEjO31n pic.twitter.com/07ok7WvdfF
