Miss South Africa hailed as Miss Universe 2019

A true embodiment of women empowerment, Miss South Africa wins the Miss Universe 2019.

Zozibini Tunzi captured the crown after delivering a short but stunning speech about what should be taught on young girls today.

“I think the most important thing we should be teaching young girls today is leadership. It’s something that has been lacking in young girls and women for a very long time. Not because we don’t want to but because of what society is labeled women to be,” Tubini said on her final word.

“The new Miss Universe believes that women are the most powerful being in the world.
I think we are the most powerful beings on the world and that we should be given every opportunity,” she added.

“We should be teaching to these young girls to take up space. Nothing is important is taking up space in society and cementing yourself.”

A new twist was introduced in the competition; The final three candidates will deliver their final statement—an opportunity to talk about the causes they are advocating for.

Meanwhile, Sofía Aragón of Mexico was hailed as first runner-up.

Our very own Gazini Ganados failed to advanced to Top 10.
