Singer Amber Liu has announced that she is leaving SM Entertainment.
In a post on her Twitter and Instagram accounts on Sunday, the singer said her contract with the company officially ended on Sept. 1. She added that she has also “decided to part ways with the company.”
“I’d like to thank everyone who believed in me. I have been patient with me all these years. I can’t wait to show you what’s in store in this next chapter of my career. Again & always, thank you!!”
Amber first debuted as a singer with the South Korean girl group f(x) in September 2009.
She debuted as a solo artist on February 2015.
Her album “Beautiful” debuted number two on Billboard’s World Albums chart and number 19 on Heatseekers Albums.
