Kapamilya actor Matteo Guidicelli is now an official Philippine Army second lieutenant.
President Rodrigo Duterte signed the actor’s paper promoting him from probationary status to 2nd lieutenant.
Guidicelli’s girlfriend Sarah Geronimo was at the “donning of ranks” event. Geronimo was the one who pinned her boyfriend’s rank, a tradition usually done by family members.
The ceremony was held at the Philippine Army Headquarters in Taguig.
Guidicelli joined the Scout Ranger training in April. He was also an auxiliary member of the Philippine Coast Guard.
The actor described his training as one of the best experiences of his life. He also encouraged fellow celebrities to join the training to show patriotism and love for country.
