Actress Heart Evangelista just announced her intention of putting up an animal shelter in Sorsogon Province.
Her husband, former senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero, is the newly elected governor in the province.
“As you all know, I’ve always had a soft spot for animals and it’s a dream of mine to be able to do more to champion their welfare,” wrote Evangelista on her caption.
She made her plans known through her Instagram post.
Evangelista said the facility will provide services such as spaying, neutering, tagging, and shots.
She added that it will be “a community that welcomes animals and treats them with love”.
Evangelista expressed her excitement about this special project.
“This is step one and I am already brimming with excitement for this special project and I can’t wait to finally turn this dream into reality! Doing this one step at a time until we get there,” read the rest of her post.
Since its posting on Monday, her IG post has already garnered 56,764 likes and earned positive comments and support from netizens.
