Kapuso actress Sanya Lopez took a shot at re-enacting Darna’s famous shout, which enables her to transform from an ordinary human to a super heroine.
As seen in a short video circulating on Twitter, Lopez was put to the test and shouted Darna’s name which is the superhero’s way of transforming from her alter ego Narda.
It can be seen that Lopez confidently shouted the character’s name and was able to pull it off.
Many netizens who saw the video was impressed saying she fits the role.

After Liza Soberano backed out from the film because of an injury, many netizens said Lopez would be a good replacement, and even requested ABS-CBN to give actresses from other networks a chance to audition for the role.
Despite coming from the rival network, Lopez said she is willing to audition for the titular role in the upcoming Star Cinema film if GMA-7 will approve of it.
“Sabi naman po nila, di ba? Walang imposible. Pero ang sa akin naman po, parang, kumalat po yung audition, sabi ko po sa kanila, basta merong ibinigay na invitation sa GMA for audition, why not po? Basta po pumayag ang GMA,” she said in an interview with PEP.ph.
She added that she is happy that netizens are considering her for the role.
“For me po, nakakatuwa na kinu-consider nila ako as Darna kasi hindi naman basta Darna lang si Darna.
“She’s an icon and sobrang strong ng personality and an empowered woman. Sabi ko nga po, kapag kinonsider ka nang ganito, nakakatuwa po talaga,” she said.
Lopez rose to fame after portraying the role of Sanggre Danaya in the modern remake of the classic fantaserye “Encantadia”.
