Manila, Philippines– Actor Robert Pattinson will always be remembered for portraying the romantic and handsome vampire in the Stephanie Meyer’s teen novel the “Twilight” series.

The Variety however reports that the actor is now in his final stage of negotiations to play the iconic Batman superhero film.

“The Batman” will be helmed by “Planet of the Apes” director Matt Reeves. The superhero film is set to hit theaters in 2021 and the shooting will take place this year.

Sources say it’s not a done deal yet, but Pattinson is reportedly the top choice to play the role.

Film company, Warner Bros. has yet to comment on the reports.

Pattinson was part of “Harry Potter Goblet of Fire” movie where he played Daniel Radcliffe’s biggest opponent Cedric Diggory.

The actor’s biggest break however was his vampire role in the movie series “Twilight.”
