Sharon Cuneta’s brother trails in Pasay mayoralty race

Sharon Cuneta’s brother, Cesar “Chet” Cuneta, was not able to get enough votes to win the mayoralty race in Pasay City.

Chet is placed second to PDP-Laban’s Emi Calixto-Rubiano with only 35,784 votes, based on COMELEC’s unofficial results as of 5:06 PM (PH time) of May 16.

Calixto-Rubiano is on the lead with 121,391 votes, based on the 100% transmitted election returns from the city.

Prior to the midterm elections, Chet was endorsed by his sister, Megastar Sharon Cuneta, and even President Rodrigo Duterte.

It can be recalled that Sharon previously posted a now-deleted photo of Chet, where his hand was raised by the president in support of his candidacy.

However, her sister’s endorsement was not enough for him to win the position.

Prior to the elections, Sharon also called out vice-mayoral candidate and Chet’s running mate Richard Advincula for allegedly betraying her brother.

Sharon posted a video on Facebook to air her sentiments.

“Hi magandang gabi po mga kaibigan, I just came from the rally of my brother in Pasay.

“It breaks my heart and I’m very upset, actually, I’m very angry kasi nalaman ko sa stage, na sinabi ni kuya sa akin.
