The archipelago is not short of Instagram-worthy beaches, and incredibly captivating islands. Many of these spots are free of entrance fees, but some filthy rich people aren’t afraid to shell out big bucks for exclusive resorts and staycations instead.
As the Banwa Private Island in Palawan made headlines this week for being dubbed as the ‘most expensive resort in the world’, Tim Yap and his partner Javi Martinez did not miss the chance to be its first guest.
The luxury resort charges a staggering overnight rate of $100,000 or Php5.2 million. The TV and radio host and eventologist didn’t reveal the cost of the splurge or if it was sponsored.
They even stayed in a villa in the resort.
Giving his followers a sneak-peek of this jaw-dropping resort, he posted some snaps on his Instagram account.
Palawan has been a go-to place for international celebrities.
The likes of Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and Beyonce reportedly spent some time off in Amanpulo.
Actors Darren Cris and Shay Mitchell also paid a visit to Palawan during their stay in the Philippines.
