IN PHOTOS: Miss Universe 2018 candidates stun in their national costumes

Exactly a week before the highly anticipated Miss Universe pageant takes place, 94 beautiful candidates of the prestigious beauty pageant sashayed down the runway as they show off their country’s distinctive culture through their national costumes.

One of the main events of the Miss Universe pageant is the national costume competition wherein the candidates show off beautiful ensembles that best represent their countries.

Some of the standouts include Aruba, Bahamas, Brazil, Canada, China, Curacao, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Mexico, Nepal, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Thailand.

Meanwhile, Miss Universe Philippines 2018 Catriona Gray wore a costume called “LuzViMinda” which featured a form-fitting bodysuit, headdress, massive backdrop, and customized boots.

The 67th Miss Universe pageant will be taking place in Bangkok, Thailand on December 17, 2018. Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa will pass on the crown to her successor at the end of the event.
