Regine Velasquez is set to stage a series of concert in the US for her R3.0 US concert tour. However, it seems like the Asia’s Songbird is having some problems as she was not able to leave the Philippines for her international concert last night, October 3.
According to an article published on Pilipino Star Ngayon, it is unsure if the real reason as to why Velasquez wasn’t able to board her flight is because she’s having issues with her US Visa again.
The report’s source said that her working visa has not yet been released. The singer’s staff are still wondering how they will be able to go to the US for Velasquez’s concert.
The same source stated that Velasquez was supposed to leave the Philippines on Monday but the issue has hindered her from going to the States.
It can be recalled that Velasquez had an issue with the US Embassy back in 2000 because of her wardrobe assistant.
Similarly, Velasquez had a concert in the summer of 2000 when a wardrobe assistant was added to her entourage that will accompany her to the US.
However, the singer got accused of alien smuggling after her wardrobe assistant admitted to the Embassy that once she arrived in the US, she intended on staying in the country and go to “California to work as Personal Secretary” for one of the producers.
The Consul then questioned Velasquez regarding her wardrobe assistant who she had only met for the first time on the same day that she applied for the visa.
However, Velasquez made a mistake by saying that her wardrobe assistant has been working for her for “three years”.
Velasquez has since settled the issue with the US Embassy.
