Two Filipino-American college students caught the attention of the famous American talk show host Ellen DeGeneres after they pulled off a prank at a local McDonald’s store which went viral on social media.
Jevh Maravilla and Christian Toledo were invited to appear on “The Ellen Show” after the former’s tweet about their fake McDonald’s poster made rounds online.
Maravilla narrated that he and Toledo decided to hang up a fake advertisement photo on the blank wall of at McDonald’s when they decided to eat there.
What’s impressive is that the fast food decided not to take down the fake poster and it stayed there for almost two months.
i noticed there was a blank wall at mcdonald’s so i decided to make this fake poster of me and my friend. It’s now been 51 days since i hung it up. pic.twitter.com/5OTf5aR4vm

Maravilla and Toledo even documented their prank and uploaded the video on YouTube which now has over 1 million views.
“I know a great prank when I see one,” DeGeneres said.
Because two Fil-Am students’ prank went viral online, DeGeneres said that McDonald’s decided to use their fake poster as an official marketing campaign and that they will each receive $25,000 or around P1.3 million.
