The Tawag ng Tanghalan (TNT) Boys got the approval of international British singer Jessie J who noticed their performance of her song “Bang Bang”.
The TNT Boys, who will have an upcoming concert in Dubai called “Pinoy Hype Dubai” this September 28, took to their Facebook page to share a 23-second video of Jessie J praising them for outstandingly covering her song during the finals of “Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids 2018”.
“I think the TNT Boys from the Philippines are incredible. I am obsessed with them. They’re so sweet and so talented. Their ‘Bang Bang’… they did it better than us,” she said in the video.
The TNT Boys won the season two of “Your Face Sounds Familiar” after they performed and reenacted the Jessie J’s American Music Awards 2014 performance of “Bang Bang” with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.
Jessie J, whose real name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, is a Grammy-nominated music artist who has popularized the songs “Price Tag”, “Domino”, “Who You Are”, and “Flashlight” among many others.
This isn’t the first time Jessie J noticed Filipino singers as she has also previously commended Morissette Amon and KZ Tandingan for their vocal abilities.
TNT Boys will be in Dubai together with Janine Berdin and BoyBandPH for “Pinoy Hype Dubai”. The concert, organized by Merab Events and Exhibition, will be held at the Al Nasr Leisureland this September 28.
