Nearly three years after the groundbreaking “Tamang Panahon” episode of the AlDub series in GMA-7’s noon-time show Eat Bulaga, the impact of the love team of Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards is still felt as Guinness World Records recently recognized #AlDubEBTamangPanahon as the most-used hashtag on social media within 24 hours.

The said hashtag was used a total of 40,706,392 times between the October 24 and 25, 2015, beating the previous record holder of 35.6 million tweets from the 2014 Fifa World Cup semi-final match between Germany and Brazil.
The “Tamang Panahon” episode of Eat Bulaga became the highlight of Richards and Mendoza’s on-screen partnership as it was attended by approximately 55,000 people at the Philippine Arena.
It also became a benefit concert as its ticket sales were allotted for the AlDub Library Outreach Project.
It was also only the time when Eat Bulaga broadcasted a show live without any commercial break.
Guinness World Records made the announcement on August 23, which is the annual hashtag day, to commemorate the first time it was used online back in 2007.
