As fashion experts say, “Give a girl the right pair of shoes and she can conquer the world.” That’s probably the philosophy that actress Anne Curtis lives by as to why she invests a fortune in her shoes.
The shoes listed below are collectively priced at around Dh72,000 or approximately P1,043,000, which is the price of a decent brand new car in the UAE. But mind you that these are only 10 pairs. Ten out of probably hundreds of other branded shoes that Anne owns. So who knows what other things are equivalent to her shoes, right?
1. Balenciaga 2018 knife over-the-knee boots
One of Anne’s recent posts shows her wearing a cobalt velvet thigh-high boots from the fashion brand Balenciaga.
According to the online luxury shopping platform, The RealReal, the estimated retail price of the said boots is worth $1,395 or around P74,400.
2. Vetements leather ankle boots
Anne is a fan of leather boots with chunky heels. In fact, she even wore one during her wedding in New Zealand. One of the chunky leather boots that she owns was from Vetements.
London-based Net-a-Porter listed the Vetements boots at a price of $1,158 or around P61,700.
3. Gucci braided leather sandal
During the world premiere of her movie Buy Bust in New York City, Anne stepped on the red carpet donning a head-to-toe Gucci ensemble. For her footwear, she wore a pair of the brand’s braided leather sandal.
Gucci’s website sells the said pair of shoes for $850 or around P45,050. Aside from that, she also wore the sandals with a pair of socks which is priced at $100 or P5,300. So to sum it up. Anne covered her feet with P53,350 worth of Gucci items during the said premiere.
4. Yves Saint Laurent Niki glitter boots
This specific pair of thigh-high sparkly boots caught the attention of many when Anne first posted it on her social media account.
The said boots are the famous “Niki” glitter boots by the luxury fashion brand Yves Saint Laurent.
Curtis’ pair of boots which are covered with 3,000 rhinestones costs around P500,000.
5. Jimmy Choo Jane 100
Anne also has a pair of Jane 100, which a collaboration between Jimmy Choo and Virgil Abloh’s Off White. This pair is known for its white strap which bore the logos of the two brands.
Jimmy Choo’s website shows that the shoes are worth €895 or around P54,300.
6. Saint Laurent Era 110 Pumps
This pair of shoes might look plain and simple, but do not be fooled because it comes with a hefty price.
In the photo, Anne is wearing the Era 100 pumps from French fashion brand Saint Laurent. The brand described the shoes as “pumps with pointed toes, low-cut vamp, and covered heels”.
Saint Laurent’s website states that the pair of shoes is priced at $795 or around P42,300.
7. Louis Vuitton Archlight sneakers
According to Louis Vuitton’s website, the LV Archlight sneakers are “the statement look of Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2018 fashion show. This sneaker balances a springy wave-shaped outsole and an oversized tongue with a low cut around the ankle for a delicate, feminine touch.”
According to its website, the retail value of these shoes is $1,090 or at least P58,000.
8. Chanel CC turnlock beige block heel sandals
Another brand that can be found in Anne’s shoe collection is Chanel, and she has a handful of pairs from the said brand, too. One of which is the Chanel CC turnlock beige block heel sandals which she posted on her Instagram account last year.
Anne also owns a white version of the same pair.
Online shopping platform Lollipuff said that the retail price of the said pair of shoes is worth $1,150 or around P61,300 each. And since she owns two pairs, it is safe to say that both shoes costs around P122,600.
9. Gucci leather platform sneakers
Anne has a wide range of selections when it comes to her footwear – from classic stilettos to chunky boots, it seems like she has it all. To add to her collection, she also has a pair of these leather platform sneakers from Gucci.
According to Gucci’s website, the shoes are priced at £625 or P42,500.
10. Gucci silver metallic leather slipper
Three out of the ten shoes in this list are from the brand Gucci, and this is the last one.
To end this list, Anne looked prim and proper in her black and white outfit which was completed by a pair of silver metallic slippers from Gucci.
Based on Gucci’s website, this pair of shoes would cost £630 or around P43,000.
