Actress Claudine Barretto celebrated her daughter Sabina’s coming-of-age by giving her an extravagant gift.
Claudine took to Instagram to post a photo of a Rolex watch that she gave to her daughter as a gift for her 14th birthday.
In the said post, the actress revealed that she bought her first Rolex when she was only 13. Since her daughter has been a “good girl”, she passed one of her most-prized possessions on Sabina.
“Since you’ve been a very good girl, I’m passing this watch to you na. I was 13 when I got to buy my first Rolex and this was my fourth which of course will go to my Sabina. This is both my moving to upper school and birthday gift to you, anak,” she said.
Claudine ended her post by asking Sabina to take good care of the watch so that she can also pass it down to her daughter in the future.
Based on the photos that Claudine uploaded on her Instagram account, it looks like the watch that she gave her daughter is a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Lady-DateJust 28. The said watch, which is made with 18-carat yellow gold, was originally introduced in 1945 and easily one of the world’s most recognizable watches.

The gift that Sabina received is far from ordinary as, according to high-end online retailer Luxury Bazaar, the watch costs a retail price worth $23,450 or approximately P1.2 million.
