One lucky Filipino graduating student received an amazing graduation gift from her idol, American diva Mariah Carey.
On June 26, Twitter user @elusivetin uploaded a photo on her social media account showing her wearing her graduation toga while holding a Mariah Carey “diploma” and a concert ticket to the American singer’s upcoming concert in Manila.
“If you believe in yourself enough and know what you want, you’re gonna make it happen,” the Filipino student wrote quoting Carey.
“Graduated 4 days ago. Thank you Lord, Family, and Mariah Carey,” she added tagging the world-renowned singer.

Two days after, Carey noticed the Filipino student and even retweeted her graduation photo.
“Congratulations!!! And thank you for listening to my music,” Carey wrote adding a heart and butterfly emoji.

Shocked yet elated that her idol retweeted her photo, the Filipino student replied by saying, “Omg, expect the unexpected. Yassss thank you so much Mimi! Been waiting for this moment! Best graduation gift ever! Thank you thank you thank you! I love you so much!’Can’t wait to see you soon. Mahal kita!”
Carey is set to return to the Philippines on October 26 to stage a one night concert at the Mall of Asia Arena.
