Singer Jed Madela did not conceal his disdain when he came across an article with a headline calling him “laos”.
In Boy Abunda’s column in Pilipino Star Ngayon titled “Showbiz News Now Na“, one article discussed the struggles Madela hurdled because of anxiety and depression.
“Na-limit ‘yung performances ko sa ASAP. So, I felt unwanted and insignificant kasi hindi na ako sikat or hindi na nila ako kailangan. It was the fans who really made me feel better,” Madela was quoted in Showbiz News Now Na.
However, the article had a seemingly misleading headline which read, “Jed ramdam na ramdam na laos na.”
In a series of now-deleted Facebook posts, Madela vented out his frustration with the clickbait headline of the article.
“I appreciate it when people write about me in the papers but come on, what’s with the titles and headlines??? #ClickBait,” he wrote.
He then called out netizens who commented negatively about him on the article.
“I know I shouldn’t be reading the negative comments on these articles written about me.
“One, they’re written by cowards hiding under dummy accounts.
“Two, they know nothing about me.
“Three, they’re shallow and baseless.
“Four, they’re frustrated people who can never be and will never be me.
“Four, they’re a**h***s,” Madela wrote on Facebook with the hashtags “#MagsikapNaLangKayoParaMaySaysayBuhayNyo, #NakakapangitAngInggit, #ParatingNaAngKarma, #MagtanongKungDiNyoAlamAngNumberFour.”
Madela is set to be one of the judges for the new season of “Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids” which will premiere on the first week of May on ABS-CBN. Aside from that, he is also a judge of It’s Showtime’s “Tawag Ng Tanghalan”, and a regular performer on ASAP.
