In an interview with 90.7 Love Radio Oct. 30 Xander Ford shared that fame entails the struggle of always being under public scrutiny.
The 19-year-old social media icon formerly known as Marlou Arizala has recently been under fire after old videos of him bashing Kapamilya star Kathryn Bernardo leaked and circulated on the Internet.
In the viral video, Ford was caught insulting Bernardo because of her bow-leggedness, saying, “Meron bang sexy [na] sakang?”.
On Oct. 30, he headed to the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group and filed cyberbullying raps against those who posted the videos.
Ford shared that the incident has led him into depressive episodes.
Ford shared that he was hurt when veteran celebrities judged him based on the videos, but even more so when his friends did the same.
“Noong nakasama niyo (his friends) ako, okay naman ako sa inyo pero [bakit] hinusgahan niyo ko [because of the videos]?” he lamented.
