The emirate of Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) vies for a Guinness World Record as it unveil the world’s longest zipline in December 2017.
Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority has partnered with Toro Verde to set up the thrilling ride on the UAE’s highest peak, Jebel Jais.
The team behind the multi-million dirham project is yet to disclose the actual length of the zipline.

The world record on longest zipline is currently the under possession of Puerto Rico’s 2.2-kilometer Toro Verde Adventure Park.
Once operational, adrenaline junkies will find themselves gliding through a cable placed 1,934 meters above sea level at a speed of 130 kilometers per hour.
The establishment will feature a viewing deck, where visitors can indulge themselves with food truck services.
The zipline project is part of RAK’s efforts to establish Jebel Jais’ identity as the region’s leading active adventure tourism destination.
