Lotlot de Leon reunites with biological mom after 26 years

Lotlot de Leon shared a photo of her touching reunion with her biological mother.

On Instagram, she captioned the photo with a quote from author Mitch Albom, ”But there’s a story behind everything. How a picture got on a wall. How a scar got on your face. Sometimes the stories are simple, and sometimes they are hard and heartbreaking. But behind all your stories is always your mother’s story, because hers is where yours begin.”

The two met in California on August 19, according to entertainment news website PEP.

The actress is the adoptive daughter of veteran actors Nora Aunor and Christopher de Leon.

She first met her birth mother, Eva Rodriguez in 1991, who is currently a government worker in California, USA.

This time around, Rodriguez was able to meet her ‘apos’ Janine and Diego Gutierrez.

It has been a year of reunions so far for Lotlot. Last May, she met up with her biological father, former US Navy Donald Lee Olson, and her sisters in Florida, USA.

“There are not enough words to express how happy I feel..thank you for taking your time to see me. Thank you for being wonderful and so loving. I have loved all of you even before I met you,” she wrote on Instagram.

The now 46-year-old actress she has no more ill feelings towards her biological parents.

“They’re human enough, humble enough to accept the mistakes they’ve done. For that, I’m very grateful. The wrong decisions that they made led me to a good life, to a better me,” she said in a 2012 interview in The Buzz.
