South defeats West in Jazzville all-star league

Both teams started the first half with a good defense as they had  low scoring points. South team’s Guerrero and Elopre hit the three-point shot that helped them lead over the West team. However, Sanchez and Fernandez didn’t want them to enjoy a double digit headstart, and thus executed fastbreak, lay-ups and treys.

Entering the 2nd quarter, the defense of both teams were still very consistent, with Elopre firing a 3-point shot followed by Fernandez’ back-to-back three points which helped the team cut the lead by 4 points.

Alvarez and Lamique then went hand in hand as they also fired  back-to-back treys. Before the first half ended, West team was showing their fastbreak and running skills as Elopre and Roque did a good ball rotation and assist.

South team’s Federiso executed all his lay-ups and jump shots, ending the first half with an 11-point lead at a score of 42 – 31 in favor of South Team.

Entering the 2nd half, Alvarez used his ability to execute all his jump shots with the help of their big man, Federiso; Elopre was offline a bit to fire a three-point shot in the third frame and so he used his power moves to execute all lay-ups to help the team lead by double digits.

Meantime, Bulawan and  Roque just never gave up as they went hand in hand to cut down the lead as Roque fired a back-to-back three-point shot and a foul counted that helped the West team cut the lead by 5 points, but time was running out fast.

Final Score: South Team (Blue) 78 – West Team (Green) 73

Best Player: Federiso (Jersey #21) with 18 points
