Another Filipino singer left the judges and audience members of the “X Factor UK” after she showed her vocal ability to sing in two different voices.
Filipino singer Sephy Francisco belted out the song “The Prayer,” and sang the parts of both Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion which earned her parises from the show’s judges, Simon Cowell, Louis Tomlinson, Ayda Field and Robbie Williams.
“X Factor UK” uploaded the video of Francisco’s audition on their YouTube channel on September 15. Francisco started off by singing Dion’s parts but changed her voice to Bocelli’s tenor range when she reached the chorus of the song.
The crown applauded upon hearing the shift on Francisco’s voice and the judges even got on their feet after her performance.
Cowell, who is known for his hard-to-please personality, commended Francisco by saying, “I’ve never judged a duo who’s one person. This is incredible!”
Francisco got the judges’ “yes” which will enable to her to advance in the competition.
This isn’t Francisco’s first television appearance. She has previously competed in both the Filipino and Korean versions of “I Can See Your Voice”. Unfortunately, she was eliminated on both contests.
Francisco will now be joining fellow Filipino singer Maria Laroco who already got the judges’ approval with her “Purple Rain” audition.
