UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a message of congratulations to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on the occasion of the Philippines’ 128th Independence Day.
According to the Emirates News Agency, the UAE leader conveyed his greetings to Marcos and the Filipino people as the Philippines commemorated its national day on June 12.
Similar congratulatory messages were also sent by UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and UAE Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The exchange of messages comes as the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates continue to strengthen bilateral relations, particularly in the areas of labor cooperation, trade, investment, tourism, and people-to-people ties.
The UAE is home to a large Filipino community, with hundreds of thousands of overseas Filipinos living and working across the Emirates.
