Filipino professor joins Dubai Lynx Academic Advisory Board

Filipino educator Bethoven Filomeno has been appointed to the Dubai Lynx Academic Advisory Board, making him the only Filipino member of the panel composed of academic leaders from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Filomeno is a lecturer and deputy program leader for the Advertising and Marketing Communications program at De Montfort University Dubai. He also serves as president of the Filipino-led TRIBE Creatives and Communications Collective.

The Dubai Lynx seeks to strengthen collaboration between academic institutions and the creative industry through knowledge-sharing and initiatives aimed at developing future creative professionals in the region.

“As an educator, it is my duty to bridge the gap between academia and the creative industry. It will help empower the next generation of leaders and encourage them to express their creativity in this part of the world,” Filomeno said.

Dubai Lynx is an annual awards program that recognizes achievements in advertising and brand storytelling across the region. Its Creativity Week brings together jurors, brand leaders and creatives to discuss trends and developments in the industry.
