Philippine Consul General in Dubai Ambrosio Brian F. Enciso III extended his greetings to the Filipino community in Dubai and the Northern Emirates as the Philippines marked its 128th Independence Day.

In his Independence Day message, Enciso said this year’s theme, “Freedom. Future. History.,” encourages Filipinos to reflect on the country’s journey and the sacrifices that secured the nation’s freedom.

The consul general said overseas Filipinos in the United Arab Emirates continue to embody the Filipino spirit through their contributions in various sectors, including healthcare, education, hospitality, business, construction, and public service.

“Across homes, hospitals, schools, hotels, offices, construction sites, businesses, and institutions, Filipinos contribute with strength and the highest standards of professionalism,” Enciso said.

He also highlighted the significance of the UAE’s observance of the Year of the Family in 2026, noting that family remains a source of inspiration and strength for many overseas Filipinos.

According to Enciso, the Filipino commitment to family reflects a shared value that strengthens ties between the Philippines and the UAE and contributes to the social fabric of Emirati society.

The Philippine Consul General reaffirmed the Consulate’s commitment to serving Filipinos in Dubai and the Northern Emirates and to strengthening the longstanding friendship between the Philippines and the UAE.

Enciso also thanked the UAE for providing opportunities for Filipinos to live, work, and prosper, describing the relationship between the two countries as one built on mutual respect, shared prosperity, and strong people-to-people ties.

He urged Filipinos to honor their history, cherish their freedom, invest in the future, and continue contributing to the progress of both the Philippines and the UAE.
