Many netizens are still curious with what truly transpired between Barbie Imperial and her rumored ex-boyfriend Paul Salas after the former posted photos on her social media account showing that she was a victim of physical abuse.
Imperial caught the attention of her social media followers and got her fans worried after she posted a series of photos showing her bruised arms and chest.
“Girls, just because mahal mo ang isang tao pero sinasaktan kayo physically, hindi pwedeng patuloy yan. HINDI TAMA MANAKIT NG BABAE PHYSICALLY,” Imperial said in her now-deleted tweet.
The 19-year-old actress also uploaded the photos on her Instagram account with the caption, “No to physical abuse. NEVER AGAIN”. She has since deleted the photos from her Instagram page.
Though Imperial did not mention anyone specific on her social media posts, many of her fans pointed fingers to Salas speculating that he was the one who physically abused the young actress.
Since then, the father of Salas, Jim Salas, posted on his Instagram account a photo which many believe is for Imperial.
Jim’s post reads, “Don’t play the victim to circumstances you created.”
He also added the caption, “God knows”.
Entertainment blogger Fashion Pulis also posted a screenshot of a Facebook Messenger conversation showing the name of Michelle Solinap, Salas’ mother.
The conversation show that Solinap allegedly reached out to Imperial to talk about the issue.
A few days after the issue erupted, Imperial posted a photo on her Instagram account showing her and her mother, Bing Imperial. Many pointed out that there are scratches and bruises visible on Imperial’s arm.
“I am strong because a strong woman raised me. You’re all I need mama. I love you. Thank you,” she captioned the photo.
