Banawa now holds a nursing degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Filipino celebrities Rica Peralejo, Dimples Romana, and Jessa Zaragoza, also congratulated Banawa for her achievement.

It was back in September 2017 when Banawa shared on social media her journey to becoming a registered nurse in the United States.

Was assigned to the OR yesterday for clinicals. OR is definitely one of my top 3 choices! ? I was so giddy all day! My feet were killing me from standing and walking around the whole time but the stuff that I got to witness and observe was so worth it! I saw a Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass, Laparoscopic Gastric Sleeve, Panniculectomy and a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy ? I got to touch an actual piece of the stomach taken out and also the gallbladder with a huge stone inside. I got to see how everything looked on the inside..I felt like a kid in a toy store so excited and eager to see more! ? It was awesome! Thank you God for such an exciting and insipiring day! ? #grateful #inspired #dreamer #futurern #roadtorn #reachforthestars
