Andi Eigenmann reveals that she has decided to quit showbiz to focus on her daughter Ellie.
Eigenmann revealed her decision after someone on Instagram accused her of being ‘snubbed’ and advised her to ‘eat some humble pie’ because of her ‘fading popularity’.
“Okay lang na tumanggi ka but to snub a fan is something else. Kunti na lang fans mo ganyan ka pa Even casual viewers like me, natuturn-off sa ganyan [sic] attitude. Eat some humble pie. Be grateful na lang people still adore you kahit hindi ka na sikat,” Instagram user @60journey said.
In response to another person on Instagram, Eigenmann explained that she wanted to stay away from the spotlight to live a normal life.
“How can you even say that if you have no idea who I even am? If I wanted the life I had in the past, I wouldn’t have left showbiz. So go figure,” she replied to @60journey.
On the issue of snubbing a fan at the airport, Eigenmann said she doesn’t aim to please her.
“I hope you realise that I am a human being too, just as your sister is, and while she must’ve just been thinking about herself and her own feelings as she wanted to snap a photo with me, she probably didn’t think that MAYBE just MAYBE, I do not walk this earth simply to please her nor you,” she said.
Eigenmann also said she wants to be a full-time mother to her five-year-old daughter Ellie instead.
“But me wanting to be a full-time mom and to live my life so far away from the spotlight (away from the city, even), doesn’t also result to your accusations being anywhere true,” she explained,” she said.
The daughter of Jaclyn Jose said she left the showbiz industry because of dissatisfaction.
“FYI, FAME IS NOT THE SOLUTION. And it pains me to [see] that there are people like you who think that this is something I should even be sad about. I left because I was not happy,” Eigenmann said.
Her last project is the ABS-CBN drama series “The Greatest Love,” where she played Lizelle Alegre, the daughter of a mother with Alzheimer’s disease.
