JOBS UPDATE: Qatar Airways to hire Filipino staff in drive from April 18-21

Qatar Airways will hire a significant number of Filipino staff in a drive to be held from April 18 to 21.

The staff from the Philippines will be recruited for cabin crew, lounge and contact centre personnel.

Chief Customer Experience Officer, Rossen Dimitrov told the Manila Bulletin in an interview that, “Qatar is the third-largest country for the overseas Filipino workforce. Thus, the Filipino market is naturally a crucial one for us,”

“Filipinos are known for being warm, smart and friendly with excellent English ability. These qualities are essential in frontline, customer-facing roles,” he said.

The recruitment drive in the Philippines will begin from Manila on April 18-21 and the roadshows span across Cebu, Clark and Davao in the coming weeks.

The jobs offer the advantage of a competitive tax-free income, including accommodation, allowances and transportation for duty and the chance to explore the world.

The recruitment comes as the national carrier of the State of Qatar Airways is expanding its global team to serve its network of over 140 destinations.

It also comes on the back of recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic as the Air carrier said that “We remain optimistic on leisure travel as we’re aware of the global pent-up demand for travel.”
