A group of businessmen is urging Manila City mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso to run in the 2022 presidential elections.
In launching their campaign for a Moreno presidential run, the Young Entrepreneurs Supporting Isko Moreno (YES Isko) said they believe in the Manila City mayor’s leadership skills as well as his dedication to public service.

“We believe ‘Yorme’ deserves to be the President of the Republic of the Philippines,” said YES Isko convenor Ali Garangan II.
“Kami ay nananawagan po sa inyo na sana po ay tumakbo po kayo sa pagka-presidente sa 2022. Kami ay nananiniwala sa inyong leadership and dedication, sa pagmamahal sa ating mga kababayan,” he added in an interview with Radyo INQUIRER.
The group said that Moreno “showed compassion and understanding for those who lost their jobs and businesses that incurred massive financial loss.”

“We are witnesses to how Moreno almost single-handedly changed the image of the nation’s capital; by cleaning up the streets, eradicating corruption, and improving the lives of Manileños in a span of just three years,” the group said.
Moreno has yet to bare his plans for 2022, even though his name has been floating as a possible presidential or vice presidential candidate. (NM)
