Kuwait records Earth’s highest temperature for 2021 at 53C

Kuwait became the hottest place on planet earth when it recorded the world’s highest temperature in the world for this year with 53.2°C.

America’s El Dorado Weather measured the hottest day in the world according to temperature data across global meteorological stations.

Temperatures reached above 50C across several areas in Kuwait. Nawasib recorded the hottest temperature to date with 53.2 degrees Celsius, while Ahvas and Al Amidiyah in Iran registered 50.1 degrees Celsius each, and Jahra in Kuwait recorded 49.7 degrees Celsius.

This marks the second time in a month for Kuwait to top the world’s cities in terms of recording the highest temperatures.

Earlier on June 5, 2021, Kuwait and Doha topping 143 world capitals to record the highest temperature, according to Al Rai daily. A Norwegian time and date website, which specialises in climate and weather affairs, stated that Kuwait and Doha recorded 48 degrees Celsius temperature. (AW)
