A Dubai court is hearing the case of a 24-year-old man who allegedly stole Dh470 from a grocery store.
Court records recounted that the unemployed man initially visited the grocery store in Dubai’s Al Jafliya area around February 2020 and asked for a Dh30 mobile recharge card.

He told the grocery staff that he had a Dh500 bill. The worker came back and gave him the card and the change of Dh470. The suspect then grabbed the money and the card and ran out of the store, as per reports from Khaleej Times.
The worker realized that he had been robbed, which prompted him to follow the suspect and jump on his car in an attempt to stop him.
However, the suspect reportedly beat him up until he fell on the road.
