An order from the ruler of Sharjah prompted authorities to start checking every family neighborhood in the emirate to clear them with single men.
This came following a female caller telling a radio show that she felt unsafe for her and her children due to a number of single men living near their house in Qadisiya.

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, immediately order the authorities concerned to begin doing the rounds and evict single men who are not supposed to live within family neighborhoods.
Thabit Al Turaifi, director-general of Sharjah City Municipality, confirmed that they already began the inspections upon the Ruler’s orders.
Sharjah Police will join the implementation of the decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad.
