Sharjah authorities busted 350 illegal markets and seized 173 tons of expired food, fake cosmetics and other duplicate products in the market.
Mobile vendors who sold these counterfeit products have been taken to the authorities. It was found that these individuals were selling products at cheap prices and were taking advantage of the summer vacation to promote products illegally.
“They were selling goods of unknown sources, and food items that were found to be unfit for consumption,” said Thabit Al Taraifi, director-general of Sharjah Municipality as per reports from Khaleej Times.
