Saudi Arabia has repatriated nearly 300 stranded Filipinos to the Philippines as part of its efforts to return foreigners back to their home countries amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
According to a report by Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom has repatriated 296 Filipino who have registered in the Absher app—its platform that includes numerous government services—to avail of the Awda or return initiative.
Saudi has earlier repatriated around 227 citizens from Japan as a preventive measure against the pandemic.
