Saudi’s King Salman orders temporary release of jailed debtors

Saudi Arabia’s Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has ordered the release of those who have been imprisoned due to their debts, Saudi Press Agency reported.

King Salman has ordered to suspend implementing the final rulings and judicial orders concerning private cases of who have been put to jail because of debts. These imprisoned individuals have been released temporarily released as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to slow the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The royal order has also implemented the suspension of visitation rights for children.
