Filipinos in Italy are advised to submit a document that would include a signature of a police officer detailing their whereabouts, according to the Philippine embassy.
“The Philippine Embassy in Rome would like to inform all Filipinos in Italy that the Italian Ministry of Interior has issued a revised Autodichiarazione or Self-Declaration form for movements allowed by the Italian authorities such as for proven work needs, health reasons, and for necessities,” the embassy posted units social media account.

The information should include whether the individual is under quarantine or not and has taken a test for the coronavirus disease or COVID-19 with a negative result.
The signature of a police officer for the self-declaration to certify the person has presented a valid identification document.
If this is presented, the person does not have to attach a photocopy of his/her identification document to the self-declaration.
“Filipinos are reminded to declare accurate information as police authorities could verify the accuracy of the information provided,” the embassy said.
“Non-compliance with these regulations may result in a penalty of Euro 206 or 3 months’ imprisonment.”
The said form can be downloaded from the website of the Ministry of Interior.
The directive was posted as the Italian government continues its uphill battle against COVID-19, having been earlier tagged as the epicenter of the disease in Europe.
