Filipino architect, TFT Awardee wins at 12th Ani ng Dangal Awards

Celso Creer II, a Filipino architect who won the Photographer and Architect of the Year titles at 2016 The Filipino Times (TFT) Awards, was recently recognized at the 12th Ani ng Dangal Honors.
Creer—who is currently the Managing Director and Partner at Dubai-based architecture company Ambient Arc Group—was recognized at the prestigious state awards for the category of visual arts. He said that while he has been participating in various art and photography competitions globally for years—winning over 400 awards—he believes this recognition is the perfect culmination of his efforts in the field.
“I am gratified and humbled to receive this prestigious award. Thank you to the Office of the President and NCCA for recognizing my works in this field. Doing what I love for my country and family keeps me inspired and strong here abroad. I feel very proud as a Filipino,” he said.
Considered as one of the most prestigious awards in the Philippines, Ani ng Dangal (Harvest of Honors) is a state recognition given by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) under the Office of the President of the Republic of the Philippines. This annual award-giving body concludes the rites of the Philippine Arts Festival, and is considered the highlight of the National Arts Month, celebrated every February by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 683 signed in 1991.
Prior to this win, Creer was also recognized at the 2016 TFT Awards as the Photographer and the Architect of the Year. He has been credited to some big projects in the region, including Dubai Stadium, UAE; Mansion Palace in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; and Residential Complex in Baghdad, Iraq, to mention a few.
