Filipino travelers, K-pop and drama fans can now enter South Korea through different visa-free options.
The embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines yesterday said there are now three ways on how Filipinos can enter South Korea without a visa.
One is as tourists in transit to third countries; another is as foreign transfer and third, visitors to Jeju island.
Travels transiting through Korea are being granted visa free entry except for 24 countries including Syria and Iraq.
Visa holders from the United States, New Zealand, Australia and Canada are qualified in the first category.
Travelers who have visa or permanent residency to 30 European countries can also be allowed to Korea without a visa.
The embassy also requires travelers to have a departure ticket within 30 days after entering Korea.
Foreign transfer passengers are those who will just past through Incheon or those referred as general transfer passengers. They can stay in Korea for 72 hours.
Jeju Island visitors on the other hand will be allowed to stay for 15 days as long as they have their itinerary and travel documents.
Travelers can aslo go directly to Jeju via airline and can stay in the world famous tourist destination for 30 days.
