John Lloyd Cruz stars in an MMFF film entry

Actor John Lloyd Cruz is finally making a comeback!

Cruz recently starred in the movie, “Culion”, an aspiring entry for the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) this year, written by Ricky Lee and directed by Alvin Yapan.

In the teaser, Cruz is seen in the last frame where he takes off his hat with teary eyes.

This is the first look of the actor after two years of hiatus from show business.

Cruz last starred in the Star Cinema movie, “Finally Found Someone” in 2017. He also took an indefinite leave from the industry in that same year to attend to personal matters.

The Culion film also stars actress Iza Calzado, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and Meryll Soriano. It follows their story as leper patients.

It also stars Joem Bascon and Mike Liwag.
