Alan, an American film writer, was emotional when he related how much he loved his Filipina wife Chari who he wed in Oregon, US, GMA News reported.
Chari revealed during an interview by Wowowin game show host Willie Revillame that she met her husband at the time he was buying watermelon.
She was working as a waitress in Angeles City when they met.
Alan, who was in the audience, said he loved the Philippines and the Filipino people.
He became emotional when he was asked for the reason he loves his wife.
“I took her to dinner and the sun was behind her and she was beautiful,” he said.
“And she has a beautiful heart, and a kind soul. I couldn’t live without her.”
“Every day, I work to be a little bit better so you’d be happy with me,” he added.
In reply Chari said,” Hon, thank you for everything that you do and I love you so much.”
