AL AIN: The Philippine Guardians Centennial Force Inc. Knights (PGCFI) D league Basketball Tournament has formally kicked off on September 13, 2019 in a simple but memorable opening ceremony at the Al Dhafra International English School.
The tourney was organized by PGCFI Knights with the leadership of Chairman SGF Badong Villanueva in line with their main objective to raise fund that will be utilized to help distressed OFW by providing assistance and conducting an outreach program.
The tournament also promotes the physical and mental well-being of the players and to showcase their talents in basketball. This is also the chance to gather and unite the Filipino community in Al Ain, organizers said.
The team players were composed of 15 teams — Armour, Asharej, Al Ain Warriors, Archers, Arkan, DILAAB, Hard core, Desert Storm, Underdogs, Drinkers, Speed travel, UAE florist, Resbak, Bisdak and Al Ain brothers AAB.
