The Bureau of Immigration has arrested four Indian nationals for illegally staying in Negros.
The four illegal aliens are now facing deportation, according to the bureau.
In a statement, BI said the aliens were arrested on Aug. 22, 2019 in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, thru an operation conducted by Immigration agents in the area.
BI Commissioner Jaime H. Morente issued the mission order after his office received complaints about the alleged “5-6” lending activities of the Indian nationals, who were identified as Manjot Singh, Mandeep Singh, Boota Singh, and Gurpreet Singh.
“All four were later brought to the BI detention facility in Camp Bagong Diwa pending their deportation proceedings,” the BI said in a statement.
The BI also disclosed that Manjot Singh will be deported for harboring and concealing Mandeep Singh, who is an overstaying alien in the country.
“Under the Immigration act, to harbor, employ or give comfort to overstaying or illegally staying alien in the country is a serious offense,” the BI added.
The remaining two Indians were found to be undocumented and were not able to present necessary travel documents.
