A kid aged six in Seoul, South Korea has recently bought a tower block amounting to almost PHP 8 billion earlier this month, Daily Mail reported.
Boram, after earning just a little under PHP 3.1 million monthly from YouTube, purchased a 258.3-square-meter five-storey tower block in Gangnam district on April 3.
The YouTube sensation (also called a YouTuber) has an accumulated 30 million subscribers, composed of her Boram Tube Vlog and Boram Tube ToysReview accounts. The former highlights the kid’s daily life, while the latter is dedicated on her toy reviews. The two accounts are now one of YouTube’s most popular channels, with Boram’s videos getting at least 300 million views.
Children are slowly dominating the video-sharing site, with several of them earning millions from their vlogs and toy critiques, and even beating some of its other well-known adult personalities. This is because many companies, such as toy makers, hope to connect with many more children, who are now more into watching online than traditional TV.
Daily Mail also reported that Ryan Kaji, a seven-year-old American YouTuber, has earned PHP 1.1 billion in 2018 alone, beating the likes of Jake Paul, Jeffree Star, and most followed YouTuber Felix Kjellberg. Kaji is the person behind Ryan’s ToysReview, which, like Boram Tube ToysReview, also reviews toys sent by the world’s biggest toy makers.
