Kapuso actor Rocco Nacino expressed his excitement to play Korean lookalike Jin Goo of the Philippine remake of the “Descendants of the Sun.”
Nacino took to Instagram on Friday, June 21, to share his excitement on playing the equivalent of Sgt. Seo Dae-young, given that he has been compared to Jin Goo.
He shared pictures of him and Goo to show the resemblance.
Korean drama series “Descendants of the Sun” will soon hit local screens with a remake featuring Filipino actors Dingdong Dantes, Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Rocco Nacino.
Dantes is cast in the lead role of Captain Lucas, while Curtis-Smith will portray Moira Defensor and Nacino Sgt. Diego Ramos.
Other cast members expected to join ‘Descendants of the Sun’ are former ABS-CBN actor Jon Lucas, Paul Salas, Chariz Solomon, Lucho Ayala, Prince Clemente, and Renz Fernandez.
The popular K-drama, which featured military romance, was aired in 2016 on GMA. Many netizens were already saying that Rocco and Jin Goo are look-alikes.
The release of the Koreanovela adaptation has yet to be announced.
