Filipino-American model Kelsey Merritt continues to get international attention after she was named as one of this year’s rookie models of American magazine ‘Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’.
Merritt teased her fans by posting some photos taken from her photo shoot in the Bahamas.
Photographed by LA photographer Laretta Houston, Merritt stunned in her tan swimsuit.
The magazine will be out in May and the Fil-Am model can’t contain her excitement.
“Can’t wait for the issue to come out in May!! The best team,” she said.
Merritt previously said in an interview with the magazine that she wants to be a Sport’s Illustrated model to tell people to be confident.
“I really want to be a Sports Illustrated model because I love how confident the models are and I want to show everyone who is looking at these pictures and reading the magazine that they can also be confident in their own skin,” she said.
The social media accounts of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit also uploaded photos and videos of Merritt wearing a white and pink two-piece, as well as a black one-piece with her name on it.

Other well-known models who have been featured on Sports Illustrated Swimsuit include Ashley Graham, Kate Upton, and Chrissy Teigen.
Merritt first gained international attention after becoming the first Filipino-American to grace the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last year.
