Specifically pointing his disappointment to Pineda, whom he discovered, Schon posted: “He’s living the American dream. How quickly everyone forgets where they came from. I think the RRHF (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame) has gone to everyone’s head. Not me.”

Pineda, on the other hand, points that he knows his humble place. “Reminder. I never stated nor notioned that I own @JourneyOfficial. I have no grandeur illusion. I know my perfect humble place. my family & friends, ” said Pineda in his Twitter account.

Pointing that he is one of the founding members of the band, Schon pointed that the band’s belief since 1972 is to not be exploited by politics or religion. In a post, Schon posted a picture of the statistics of how long the members have been in the band.

“I will remain strong and consistent with the belief we’ve always shared and agreed upon — Journey should never be used and exploited by anyone, especially band members for politics or any one religion. I’ve been here since 1972 and this has always been our belief. This was with intent to exploit the brand and use the name,” Schon wrote on Facebook

As a response, Pineda insisted that the visit was not about politics. He tweeted, “Reminder.. I don’t belong to any political group nor inclined to any religious sector. Not a single piece of my bone ambition such quest.”

Of the three members who visited the White House, Pineda was the only one has directly responded to the posts made by Schon. Cain, on the other hand, tweeted Biblical references which may or may not be a response to the guitarist. While bassist Valory has remained silent.
