To put an end to the issue, controversial couple Kylie Padilla and Aljur Abrenica have finally spoken about Kylie’s early pregnancy and their sudden engagement.
After weeks of speculation over the alleged pregnancy of the actress by boyfriend Aljur Abrenica, the couple finally decided to face the public once and for all.
Shortly after the pregnancy issue came out, news of the engagement followed when Padilla’s management, Vidanes Celebrity Marketing, posted a congratulatory message for the two. The announcement further fueled speculations about the two.
However, the actor revealed he is actually quite displeased over the sudden disclosure of an engagement, especially at the height of the pregnancy rumor.
“The reason why kung bakit tayo nandito ngayon ay dahil sa issue na engagement. Unang-una, ang engagement ay nangyari between two people, kami ni Kylie. May lumabas na post na pinangunahan kami,” Abrenica told entertainment portal, PEP.PH.
“Sentimental ang engagement para sa akin, kahit sino’ng tao, di ba? Kahit kayo, napangunahan kayo sa balita, na dapat kayo ang unang naglalabas nito. Ang engagement kasi, minsan lang ‘yan nangyari sa buhay natin, e,” Abrenica opens.
Abrenica and Padilla were first engaged on Oct. 2016 during their trip in Japan. It was then followed by two more proposals.
On breaking the pregnancy news to her parents, Padilla said that she even had a hard time telling her mom Liezl Sicangco, who is currently living in Austrailia but as soon as she broke the news, her mother just gave an advice that made her teared up, “Alagaan mo ‘yan.”
Padilla said that her dad Robin Padilla was supportive with her pregrancy.
