EDITOR’S CHOICE

How meticulous are you at work?

In sending a CV to prospective employers, a major jobs portal recently raised the flag on what it described as “one of the most overused keywords” in the document’s “about me” section.

Take a guess.

It’s “detail-oriented,” said Bayt.com.

“Unfortunately, many people include that on their CVs without actually meaning it and simply because it is sought-after in many job descriptions. It is highly encouraged to use accurate keywords to give a clearer picture on your suitability for certain positions and companies. It is also vital to elaborate on these claimed skills and to provide specific examples wherever possible,” the portal said in a report published online.

Bayt.com lines up the following jobs that gives true meaning to “detail-oriented,” in fact, so true it’s beyond perfectionism.
